No airbags, tilt steering that little light cluster next to the steerig wheel. no map pockets. just small stuff really.

The pony rims and shortened front fenders first appeared in 1991.

Usually the year spreads are 87-89 and 90-93

Between 89 and 90 there were a few changes....mostly interior. The interiors changed for one, smaller headrests, different dash, addition of airbags and removal of tilt. Colors changed as well.

That's about it really. The bigger fenders started in 1991. Mass air began in 1988 (cali only)

Id say the steering wheel and the fenders are the real "problems"

Like with mine...its a 90...NO TILT and small fender openings

Personally, I like the older fenders better appearance wise, the pony rim fills the wheel well better. But yes it can limit your wheel/tire size once lowered.

Never noticed, my 88LX has different fenders? Never made much difference. I like the no air bag thing, old guys need tilt columns.

Basically the 91+ are just like the rear fenders..I have one of both on my car...I guess some mid-90's accident mine was in was repaired that way

The old pre90 side rubs, but both have the pre-90 fender extensions on them
