Which is eaiest to do, gears or cam install? pearl02.

They are both difficult and require real skill and specialized tools.

I would guess that gears would be the easier of the two (and far cheaper).

Agreed; both can be tough installations for someone without the skill.

Gears would be the easier installation of the two.

if you have the required skill then both are easy , but if you dont you might run into some trouble with both but personally i like doing cams i think they are an easy swap i use to them alot at my old job

whatevers cheaper to pay a good performance shop to do would be easiest

They are both equally a Pain In the Ass! If your a novice pay someone to do either.

I have done cam swaps in other cars before. I know to do it in our cars will be more difficult. I called a local shop here and was told it's alot of money for 10 to 20 hps. I won't be dealing with that shop if they don't want to take my money. I may do some more research and do it myself. I just joined a Stang club here so I will talk to some of the other members. Thanks Pearl02.

Well, it is a lot of money for 10-25 hp but it also sounds damn cool so it is more than just perfomance mod to do cams.

Also, when it comes to mod motors 10-25 additional hp is more than most of the other mods out there unless you do forced induction or nitrous.
