Well, I have a 69 fastback that is completely gutted right now. Floors are out and still need to get put in. It was sodablasted and the bodywork was done by a bodyshop. I have $2k into the body alone. We replaced the roof on the car because of a really bad sunroof that was in the car before. I have a full front suspension with a 69 disc brake kit (stock) and a power steering converison kit for it. Couple hoods to choose from. One door needs a skin (which I have and the old skin is already off). The body is pretty complete. No interior but I have a column, wheel, lower dash, gauges and some other stuff for it. I think I have 2 sets of seats for the car too.

Anyways, sorta needed money and could afford to lose some stuff out of the garage. I ahve 3 69's, a 68, 66, 69 chev truck and a jeep around right now and its just too much. I figure its a great start for a project for anyone to pick up on and not have to mess with some of the dreadful rust.

What do you think its worth?

I forgot to add... no motor and tranny. I have a 8.8 ouf of a 2002GT that was going to go in it.

Another thing that set the price on eBay is the VIN of the car - for the purists. Say you have a 302 (J) or 351 2v (H) motor code it would be worth only so much, but if you have a 390 (S), or 428 (Q) the value goes up substantially. I've seen a rusted and dying 289 K code "frame" go for some big bucks.

Sorry if I screwed up on the engine codes...I'm doing it from memory.

I think if it were a stock roller that was primed and bodywork done, you'd get $3k-$4k for it. Something a guy with a rusted out car could take to a shop and get painted the color he wanted, then swap over the parts off his car and upgrade/update as needed.
