Well in a few weeks I will be finally done with my suspension when I install the rear coilovers & torque arm in the mach... Now that my handling & grip will be on point, I finally need to get some more power to the wheels. I dont really want to waste my time with bolt ons, I want some major bang for the buck. Of course what I really want is a KB, but I dont have the money yet, but I will probably be going that route once money permits.

Heads & cams would be nice, but thats pricey & the bang for the buck wouldnt be as great as the blower. On the other hand it would be more reliable than the KB, & would last alot longer. Although most blowers are smog legal in CA, heads & aggressive cams probably wouldnt be.

Another thing I was thinking of that would be a great bang for the buck would be nitrous. What do u guys think of that? How much would it be for a good, safe kit, & how much rwhp am i gonna get?

I have been wanting to do 4:10's, but only if Im gonna stay n/a. I wouldnt want to have 4:10's if I was gonna get a KB.

Anyway, what mod do u guys think I should do next????

BTW, my current mods are in my sig...Thanks

I don't think the 4.10's would be too bad with a KB in a Mach 1. You have a 6800 rpm redline, right? Anyway, if you go with the nitrous, I would still recommend the 4.10's. I have a friend with 3.90's in his Mach with a 150 shot and it is awesome! I don't know what kind of rwhp #'s you would put down, but #'s aren't what wins races anyway !

If your not worried about the smog legal crap, I would go with LT headers and a good midpipe.

If you see a KB in the future for your Mach 3.55's or 3.73's
would be alot more streetable and your traction wouldn't
suffer as much. You should also look into the Procharger P1SC
for your Mach it also makes some impressive numbers.I belive
nitrous is a good power adder for the track.I ran a Nitrous Express
75/100 jets in my old 92 GT and couldn't see spraying on street or
highway with all these bad drivers of today.Although nitrous is as
safe as you make it my friend.I vote that you keep saving your
money for a KB or Procharger because in the long run you will
be happier when you see the boost needle going up.

Thanks guys...I ultimately want a KB, but I wont be able to get one for @ least 6 months & I want a little more power now. Maybe I can get a nitrous kit for a little while till i can get the KB...4:10s would be awesome, but I do see boost in my future.... Its just too much cash to get alot of N/A hp on a 4.6, even 32V. I want more than 400 rwhp...

Start by getting a forged shortblock. Then you'll have a good base to slap a KB onto later on.

I want that too...But my motor is still pretty young (39k)... As long as I keep the boost @ 8-9 psi & get a good tune, I should be good for a while. I think I will get a Tecksid block & build it up on the side. If I did the shortblock first, yeah I will be better off the long run, but its very costly & wouldnt make me any faster, until I could afford some boost. Were looking @ at minimum of 12k for a built shortblock & a blower...

Your right... So many people run blowers on stock motors, its just the greedy ones who wanna go past the limit that blow there motors...or the poorly tuned... I think building up a good shortblock on the side would be good & then slapping it in when its ready...What do u guys think??? I dont want to put all this money into my car, only to make it slower(lower compression, blower cams), & then have to wait till I can afford the blower, which would be a long time from then....

build the short block on the side, then wait to slap the blower on it, then put it in the car..then you wotn have to worry about your car feeling any slower

give it alot of thought, you will be using alot of money to do this.

you have to think of what else will be needed to handle the power you will be making aswell. I take that you have the stock 3650 in your car still which will prbly dump on you pretty quick.

Yeah...I plan on doing the clutch/flywheel, & axles beforehand. The 3650 does blow, but the T56 isnt much better unless u get the viper spec. I would rather stick with a good 5 speed because i like the gearing of the 3650.

Never an auto, EVER. I dont think i will do a cage either. Its a street car. I only want 500rwhp . if I need anything faster than that, Im just gonna build a fox hatch.

Ok 600rwhp max, but i would be plenty happy with 500rwhp...I think 700 or 800 would just be too much on the street. I would build the motor more for longevity than crazy power. 600hp is alot still if u ask me
