whats the advantage from 28 to 50 ounce balancing?

I was told that it was because the engine would rev smoother & faster. i figured i might as well while im building the motor.

some kits are made to balance to 28oz and also earlier mustangs and i believe 351Ws use a 28oz imbalance. the less imbalance, the easier it is on your front and rear mains and the higher it can rev generally with less stress to the engine. a 0 balance is the best but that also costs more. stock 302s from 81 or 82 (i forget the exact year) are 50oz imbalance. my 347 kit for example is made to go to a 28oz imbalance as are most aftermarket stroker kits. if anything i said was wrong please correct me because its late and i need sleep
