I'm planning on upgrading my shifter soon to a Pro 5.0 Shifter. I want to get rid of the stock shift knob. Let me know what you think..

All the above......I say this because it depends on what your comfortable with. I personally use a T-handle. It's what I grew up with and am used to.

Pistol grip is awesome if you have a handle long enough so you don't have to adjust your whole body for every up shift. Checkout MGW's knobs (and shifter..I like it a lot more than the pro5.0), they make some trick pieces with cool logos! www.mgwltd.com

for drag racing purposes ONLY i'd chose a fatknob

for everyday driving i've had 2 MGW knobs, one gripper and currently the composite race knob and i love them both

but again it's all personal preference

The gripper shifter knobs from MGW are really good. Their pricey at $45, but I luv my Mach 1 gripper shifter ball.

I love my B&M Quicksilver - kinda like a flat cue ball. But of course this is used in a different fashion than what this thread was intended for

I've got the old MGW "Blue Handle" race shifter. You can get pretty much the same type shifter with the Orange Handle they make now, and you can call them and ask for the Silver Handle which would basically give you the shifts of the old Blue Handle.
