Are you talking street car or car of any sort because MOST cars that run 8s or 9s on the 1/4 mile realy arent street cars. Some cars say they are street cars but cant drive more than 20 miles w/o over heating or needing to fill up. I say most because yes there are some.

I live in a small town and the fastest street car which is basicaly his DD is an 03 Cobra thats almost in the 10s. Hell my cars like the 3rd or 4th fastest so we dont realy have alot of fast cars.

I don't necessarily mean a DD, just a car that you can take to the track, run your times, then drive home without loading it up on a trailer...The supra and probe that i mentioned and linked too are not their DD's by any means. I guess Dave, the guy with the supras, his DD is a 750HP supra which he has for sale now. I guess 3 supras is too much lol.

Lots of low 8 sec cars here in South carolina! Some run NMRA and drive on the streets alot! But by no means daily drivers! But there are at least 4 cars that run 9's in the 1/4 that are daily drivers! Gotta love a big motor with nitrous!

fastest street car around here is Chad Porginski's 94 Supra that went 6.86 @106, 1/8th mile, on drag radials... ive seen it do a 110mph pass spinning thru the traps before...

I do know their is a local sn95 shooting for an 8 second pass this fall. he has went deep nines and you have probably seen his picture all over the net, including my sig pic for awhile. here's the video.. it was posted here awhile back.

before you say time for a wheelie bar, they arent allowed to run them in extreme street... and something broke on this pass. it usually just packs them hard.

Yeah I dont remember what broke, but it did well over 6k in damage. And while it isnt meant to be driven on the street I have heard of him taking it to wally world to prove the point.

Ive seen a few around, maybe not quite 8 second... but definatly incredibly fast. Most of the ones around here (not in general, just locally) are backyard mechanic specials. They dont look like much... but boy, do they move out...

I dunno if these guys live around my area but i saw a few 95 and 96gts with twin turbo systems both putting down 11XXrwhp. They run in the 9s. Man i would kill for that kinda power. And at my 1/4 track there was a fox running high 7s im not sure if it was streetlegal or not it looked like it though.
