My goal is just to make the car unique, not go nuts. CAI, tune, pulleys, x-pipe and maybe mufflers is all that's going to happen for performance. Suspension will get about $1K worth of work just to lower it right.
By the way, I traded a modified 03 V6 Coupe in on my 07 GT.... they paid for 'some' of the mods on that car. Got about $2K over high blue book trade value on it. Before you say anything, I paid about $2k UNDER MSRP for the GT. So, yes, I do think it can be done, but not 100%. I had about $6K into the car.... and being a show winner didn't hurt either. The dealer sold my car off their used car lot for about $2K above retail blue book within 10 days of my purchase. So, we all made out in the end. I got a decent deal on both ends of my deal, got the tax credit on the value of the trade on top of that, and didn't have to deal with a private party sale to somebody who was going to refuse to see what a special car the 03 with all the mods.
