What's the max lift cam I can go and pass emissions..?

The DURATION on my cam right now is pretty good. BUT it does not have the greatest lift. Also, what HP gains should I expect as I am buying a 2001 lighting mass a/f as well? Thanks in adv!

Pretty hard question to answer....there are people running high lift that are passing emissions and people who run low lift who are failing...there are about a bazilllion things that go into passing emissions and failing it.

Look at the numbers of some of those emission legal cams and go with similar numbers.

I called the guy that made my engine. Looks like I have a 5.10 lift already. I think my tune needs "tuning." But if I am going to pay that much for a tune, maybe I should wait to get a bigger short-block eventually..dunno. My car is real quick but I want soemthing in the 11's eventually anyway.

If I remember correctly, duration and more importantly valve overlap is what will affect your emissions most.
