Whats this access hole for?

Any ideas? Its on a 93 coupe roller I just bought.

IS that over the rear seat area. It looks to me like it is revealing the upper bolt that holds the pinion snubber bolt.

That's what I was thinking. That gaping access point is called rust. It should not be there.

Prob drug stash spot depending on how concealed it is with interior in place and how easy it is to access it.

Only takes a second to pop the rear seat up and flip the carpet forward i would imagine.

Ok the PO says there was some type of bracket there so it was cut out.

Lots of drugs and stuff going on in Hawaii, I'm in Florida now though,,, its 100x worse here.
