This is a brand new Roush 342r that a guy needs to get ride of.I know a new one is about $12,000.I'm either looking to put this in my 66 fastback or sell it to make a few bucks. It's actually 3 years old but has never been run. Does anyone have an idea what something like this is worth. Thanks

Those use a sportsman block or a production block? Either way I think it is double what it should cost. You could get way better for that price. With force induction and a dart block you could make 2x the horsepower with $12000.

That's a LOTTA coin for a 342. You could buy this Ford Racing 427, have it professionally installed, and you'd still spend well under 12 grand.

Is the one pictured, the one for sale? If not, does the one for sale include carb, pulleys, distributor?

I see the dipstick is in the location for a double sumped pan, so that'll have to be changed for your '66. Which means the front cover will have to either be drilled or changed for a dipstick.

I think 5k is probably a good price for everything pictured. It may not fit with those headers, though. But they can be sold off for ones that do fit.

Check the prices for similar hp/tq numbers with other crate motor blders to see how the 5k aligns.

Good luck!
