on a 69 mustang clock, whats the green needle for?

Alarm clock for when your sleeping a drunk off in your car? Got a pic? Is it an additional hand other than the hr. and minute hand?

Its for the "rally" function. You turn the hand at the current time when you leave somewhere and when you arrive you can see how long it took you IMO it really doesn't have a function, other than confusing the passenger when they try to tell the time (not that they keep time anyways )

hence the reason why it is often referred to as the "rally clock" in some lterature
