I found this 84 gt t top. the guy is asking for $600. the motor doesnt run however everything else electrical does come on so it might just be the stater. Its been a california car all its life and he is the second owner. Its a five speed, has power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning. What would you pay for a car like this?

I personally dont see the good deal... but thats just me.

Ive bought a RUNNING 86 5.0 car out of a local salvage yard for $200 with title. Car was in a wreck and needed a new door and passengar fender. other than that everything was pretty sound.

That car is gonna need some work JUST TO GET RUNNING... considering we dont actually know what the problem is... the enitre motor could be seized.. that will be costly.. I mean.. the thing looks like someone opened the hood and dumped a 200lb of dirt in there... looks like that crap is even clogging the carb. meh.. i could be wrong here... You could get lucky and get the thing running with 50 bucks and some started fluid...

Id offer less... and see what happens.. its rough. Ur gonna have to buy new tailights either way

hahaha.. oh yea..

Looks like the current owner is using the tailpipe that broke off the right side of the car to keep the thing from rolling back

i think they were only single exhaust back then

And if it makes you feel any better i paid 400 for a pile of stang! its a 86 t-top coupe with a 4spd and a 4 banger that doesn't run needs both fenders, interior, drivers floor pan and a few others. But the only thing in my mind was ITS A T-TOP COUPE!!

The only reason it's worth something is because it's a T-Top coupe. I'd buy it for $600 if I had time to do a complete resto.

Not a coupe. And is worth 600, buy it, paint it, put a motor in it, have a bad ass 4 eye t-top.

Oh yea - what was I thinking?!?!?
I know - I just finished reading the post above mine and went into T-Tope coupe mode again
I'd still buy it for $600

It looks like it was flooded.. Buy it gut it rebuild it. My father and I are in the process of rebuilding an 84 6 banger with t-tops.. Except we are bringing it up to 86gt cosmetics. We are gonna make ours 5-lug and slap some mach 1 wheels on it. Motor wise we are probabbly just gonna get a 5.0 out of a donor car and get some work done to it then back it with a TKO500..

as stated before worth it for the t-top as long as the frame isn't all rusted out. I would gut it myself if I had the money and restore it.
