I got the car running again today....

past two days, (only two consecutive days i have had off in almost a month)

i got timing cover, water pump, valve covers, intake, all acc., brackets, new steering rack, new steering shaft( to elim. my 50's era steering), tokico struts etc., kenny brown C/C plates, etc back on the car........

anyhow i still have to put the line lock on, when the gears and trak lok kit arrive that has to be installed, and a few more misc. items to install, and i will be ready for the next track day.

I would also like to say don't order LOKAR parts for a latemodel, the YEAR,and CAR specific throttle cable has the wrong fittings on it to attach to the TB and Pedal end, and the dipstick that they say is for all 5.0's seems very cheaply made, probably wont fit(from looking), and prob. will wind up being sold.

JMS still doesn't have the chip right, i waited on that thing for a month(how long it took them to do a reburn) and it stil doesn't have the smog elim. in the program, that was the second time i had sent it back..

Overall a slightly frustrating, Overall satisfying weekend, just wanted to vent and share at the same time. thanks for the space .... lol

Since this is a pointless thread, i am also curious as to how hard of an install a nitrous kit is, and what ignition, and fuel mods do you need to run one, SAFELY.....

that's tough... on the one hand, installing it yourself will save you some money. on the other, if your car blows up and a shop installs it, at least they can be held liable. that's a tough one, man.
