I just installed a BBK off road x-pipe on my 2003 Mustang GT and it sounds like there is a major exhaust leak under load though there is not, that i can find...is this just how it will sound until i get different cat-back(stock is on now)?
My Magnaflow did the exact same thing.. I eventually found that it's just how my x pipe sounded. I bought some header wrap and wrapped the x pipe. The sound was reduced 80%..
When I put my headers on and modified the X pipe to accommodate it the sounds has almost vanished..
When I installed my xpipe, I had to get my wife to bring the accompanying installation hardware, and she forgot the reducer for the driver's side and I didn't even think of it, so the day after I put it on I had to take it back off and re-do it. It sounded like crap a roni until I got that fixed.
It sounds even better with a new catback. I heard nightmares about the BBK X, so im not sure how itll sound with chambered mufflers. Stay away from flows or macs with that mid. ;]
