Whats wrong with my oil pressure?

Since I bought the car the oil pressure has been in the same area as the picture below but a little lower than in the pic, last night I noticed it climbed even higher than usual for a few minutes while driving on the highway which is when I took the picture. The engine temp was pretty high as well, what could be the reason for such high oil pressure? Is that normal? he car has high miles at around 179,000

Time for real gauges. Looks like an electrical issue if more than one gauge act up in the same time frame.

that looks like a bad oil pressure sensor to me get real gauges the factory ones suck

When I get back a little later on tonight, I'll show you some pictures comparing what my stock gauge reads compared to my Autometer.

I think your sending unit or your gauge is jacked. I don't pay attention to my stock gauges anymore.............. not even the speedometer.

Stock gauges SUCK.

Get some aftermarket ones, the oil pressure is a dummy light anyway. I have a brand new Autometer Phanthom II Elec Water Temp gauge if you are interested.

Green Gt- what you want for the temp guage?

I figured it may be that the guages are screwed up, plus I have a monster system that I built into my back seat that draws A LOT of power so I still need to upgrade my alt. to a 200-250 amp HO. What are you guys opinion on if I was to take out the factory cluster and make my own full custom one using all autometer guages instead of puting the auto meter ones into the a-pillar or center consule and keeping useless guages in the factory cluster. I allready have a 160 mph autometer speedo and oil temp that I can use
