I hit jumped a curb a few months back, and the car was sitting on it's spare since then.

I replaced the full size wheel today, and noticed that it's not centered on the wheel well. Any guesses on what could be bent to cause this?

I'm ready to sell this car because it's just sitting in the garage collecting dust, but I'm not sure if I should sell it as is, or fix it first.

Thanks in advance!

It could have been like that all along, but I'd venture to guess it pushed the K member back before it bent the control arm. I believe we had a thread about this last year, or maybe even 2006 where we discovered some of our cars suffer from the wheels not sitting centered in the wheel well.

If you hit a curb Id say that somethings definitely bent, especially when you look at the picture. Gonna have to put it up in the air and take a closer look. Is the other side the same way?

I really dont think you damaged the lower control arm. Probably shifted the cradle back. I had this problem where one side of the car looked good but on the other wheel stuck out too much and didnt sit centered. But since I shifted the cradle forward again (which by the way was very easy) looks great from both sides and handles noticeably better since I pushed the cradle as far forward as possible to increase the caster as much as stockishly possible. Easy way to find out lift the car up and look at the 2 small bolts that hold the rear part of the engine cradle up and see if it shifted at all.

Well its true some of our cars did not have the hweel in the center of the wheel well. I've seen a couple of 94-95's like that. Its not impossible that something can be bent that is whey a through inspection should be done with the wheel off to insure that nothing is damaged.

Now that I was looking through older pics of my car I noticed my passenger side wheel looked like that but since I shifted the cradle forward (On the passenger side it shifted forward much more then driver.) it looks just like the drivers side. Nice and in the middle just my .02

I don't have the time or mechanical skill to fix this.

Do you guys think this (whatever the problem is) can be fixed at the shop for under $500?

I have to hold the wheel at about 45 degrees to go straight, which I originally attributed to an alignment issue. Looks like theres more to it than that.

I'm selling this car really soon, and I don't want to dump a ton of cash into it.

Thanks in advance!
