Fi needs some back pressure? Lower PSI doesn't always mean lower power, PSI is a measure of pressure/resistance. Same set up + mods that make slightly less PSI due to increased flow means more air is moving through than before, correct?CAI, tune, gears, and drag radials...
MANY other mods out there, but besides nitrous or FI, these 4 will be the only ones your ass dyno will really feel; and they will yield lower et's more than a couple tenths.
Once there, make sure you are set on your future
EXAMPLE:
If you KNOW you are going with sc or turbo, do NOT spend $$$ on exhaust unless you are positive it works to your favor i.e. Long tubes and a high flow system will usually yield 2lbs of boost lower. FI needs sum back pressure.... UNLESS you are going with huge boost. Now, thats a whole new story...

I am never going to take my car to the track, so would you guys recommend 3.73's or 4.10's ? The car is a 5 speed GT and is not my daily driver. I can't see why I would need 4.10's under these circumstances. It currently has 3.31's.

if i were you id keep the 3:31's then or go to 3:55's at the most 373s but most likely not esp if u dont plan on like ever getting on it often.
If you dont plan on racing at all period,ever. dont bother getting 4:10's.

As I said it isn't my daily driver but I do like to get on it occasionally, within the law of course, and wondered if moving up to 3:73's would be worthwhile from 3:31's. I really didn't think it would be worth it for highway driving to go to 4:10's if I am not considering taking it to the track ever.

It would be worth moving from 3:31's to 3:73's. It would be a much noticeable gain/difference.
Having it not be your daily driver is just a better reason to RACE itlol
My mustang is my daily driver currently and track bracket car for fun, its too addictive.
I also want to keep mine as long as possible while being my DD(since Nov '06). It now has just over 51K miles(8.7 when new Aug 29, 06)and the 4.10s have been in there since about 13K miles and I don't regret it at all. In fact, when it is not my DD, I wouldn't mind putting 4.30s in it even if it is just for joy riding around and maybe twice a year to the track. Granted there will be a good increase from 3.31 to 3.73, but from 3.73 to 4.10 there won't be that much difference as far as MPGs and RPMs go. Not trying to convince you 4.10 will be better, just letting you know how the 4.10s can be driven daily with no problems.
