Ok i finally installed a nice sunpro water temp gauge in my car, instead of the old number less dial in the gauge cluster. I took it for a cruise and ran it about
185-190 on the new gauge at 3k rpm about 60mph. With the old gauge it would always stay right in the middle and sometimes go a little past , i'd just flip on the electric fan and it would go right back to the middle. I'm going to have to learn i guess what actual temps are normal for it. What do you guys general read at cruising speeds???? Does 185-190 sound normal? Car has not had any overheating issues that i know of.

You are fine. I run 165 around town, and 180-200 pushing it hard. I have run it for long periods of time @ 220-230 in traffic, and no damage was done. Just keep it under 240-260 and you should be ok
