i have an 88 gt and i just did a full 5 lug conversion using a complete 98' disc brake rearend( which is 3/4" longer overall) and 95 front spindles, rotors calipers, etc. i bought some 1988-91 saleen wheels( im not exactally sure what year, 16x7 and 16x8-non deepdish- 5 lug, 5 spoke gray center w/polished lip) and im currently running 225/50's all the way around. the wheels in the front dont clear the calipers, so i had to use a 5/16 spacer, and the wheels in the rear are too wide and dont have the right offset, so when i go over bumps or into driveways the sidewall of the tire hits the lip on my rear fender. ive tried rolling my fenders, but cracked the paint. i need somt different wheels that are i guess 94-up wheels, that will clear the front calipers, but i also need to get as much tire as possible in the rear. does anyone have any suggestions/help??? i really could use it, thanks in advance
- also the saleen wheels are for sale, i can email pics, posting pics on here confuses me

If you want to use Ford wheels, you should stick with the 17x8 wheels using the wider rear end. Unless you get wheels with more backspacing than stock, the 9" wheels will more than likely cause rubbing issues. Most everyone running 9" wide wheels are using the stock width rear axles.
