Just wanted to thank the forum.
My car was making like a loud tire noise/ humm, with speed and even the little angle of a turn to the right. When I would turn a little to the left it would stop. After searching the forums it seemed clear this was my left wheel bearing. So I bought the parts at Napa and went to a local mechanic since I don’t have a torque wrench that goes up to 250 pounds. When I told the mechanic what I wanted done he was so skeptical, and like a smart ass “Oh you read this online huh? That’s working out pretty good for you huh?” and when I asked how much the labor would be he said all sarcastically we will see tom when I get under the car, as if it wasn’t going to be what I said.
So anyway long story short, when I go to pick up the car he was so amazed that it was the driver’s side front wheel bearing that needed to be replaced. He said there was a little play when he tried to wiggle it, and there should be none, and it’s really hard to just hear for this problem and identify it. (I already knew there was a little play because I jacked it up at home before I bought the parts, ha-ha)
Car runs good now, no more noise.
So thanks again.
