Wheel Locks

Getting ready to put on the new wheels (Edelbrock 454's) on after leaf spring replacement next weekend. It's been years since I've purchased good wheels and I'm wondering what other modders are using for wheel locks. Back in the day I remenber buying a full set of (20) Gorilla locks for my centerlines. Obviously want to keep my wheels protected but also want something that looks good. Recommendations, brands and prices, where to buy are appreciated.

I wouldn't waste the time or money on wheel locks. If someone wants to steal them bad enough, the locks won't stop them. I worked at a tire shop for 3 years and people with full sets of wheel locks just pissed us off. Expecially when a customer loses the lock. Just my $.02.

Gorilla locks are probably the best on the market, but they can be easily removed by tapping a 12 pt socket on the lock. I'd say 90% of the time this method will remove the locks. Those of us that work as mechanics have access to tools the general public usually doesn't know about, including universal wheel lock removers. It is just a deturrant which causes a thief to look for easier items to steal. Wheel locks may make you feel more secure about your wheels, but if someone wants them bad enough the locks won't stop them.

I have wheel locks on my car. It won't stop professionals who really want to steal them, but it as splinterddt said, it will deter people who are looking for easy rims to steal.

Another nice thing about Centerlines is that you have to have an allen key to get the centercaps off.
