I'm ordering up some new wheels for my heap. I see all this chit about wheel specs and the only thing I can ask is "WTF?"

The wheels are a 15x8.5" wheel if it makes a difference.

I'm pretty sure I need a 5x4.5" bolt pattern, correct?

My question is about backspacing.

The wheel is offered in both a 3 3/8" backspace and a 5" backspace. Can I run either the 3 3/8" or the 5"? Which would look better? Would one have a dish to it and one wouldn't?

This stuff confuses the hell out of me.

Thanks for all the help.

Na. I'm trying something new (I think) - Convo Pros.

Anyone have any ideas?

Your right on the bolt pattern..

Out of those two backspacing choices you will want the 5". On my weld prostars (15x8) i have a 5.5" back spacing. Has a nice lip to the rim.

Definitely want the 5" BS -- I wish Centerline would make that size with a little more backspacing so it would sit inside the wheelwell better.

Stock backspacing is around 4.75" as best I can remember, so going to a 5" BS puts the 1.5" wider wheel about 1.25" further out than stock -- not bad. If you went with the shorter BS, the wheel would stick out about 4" further than stock -- not even inside the wheelwells. I'm not even sure why they make it, I can't think of any time you'd ever run that.

Good deal.

I've got one more question. Are you guys running any type of spacer in the rear to make it look a bit more appealing? I've been thinking about running them even with the stock ponies and I figured if I'm buying new rear wheels, now is the time to put some on if I want to. If you are running them, what size is best to go with?

Thanks for all the help.
