If you get spacers make sure they are HUBCENTRIC spacers from a quality manufacturer like Maxinmum Motorsports. Don't use cheap parts store lugcentric spacers. You will snap a wheel off.

ALso, as an added safety measure, spend $25 on upgraded hardened lug nuts for the rear.

Snapping a wheel off while driving sucks

1 1/4" looks to be too much, I would go with 3/4-1" tops

Well, I'll take your word on that. Just, to me, it looks as though the wheels are pushed out just a smidge too far. But you car is still sweet dude

Totally agree with the consensous, the hubcentric is the only way to go when using wheelspacers in this size. I run in combination with my '03 Cobra rims, 1.25" adapters that I purchased for when I had stock rims (17x8). They are a little wide for the Cobra rims, but look much better than none. So my vote would be 1" hubcentric wheel adapters, which should give it that just perfect look.

I know the feeling Handz...I hate the sucked in wheel look on our cars where the front wheels are flush with the body and the rears are sucked inside the fender. I'm gunna be getting some 1" spacers as well I believe, that should push it out just right I believe.

Someone link that thread where the guy's rear wheel launches off the car at full speed driving down the highway. It had great pics of what can go wrong...

I thought his wheels were over torqued by the shop and it snapped off the studs.

He said a lot of things in that thread about the problem of the wheel flying off was due to everyone who had ever touched the car 'cept him...

Would 1" be good for a 17x8 rim? I want to push out my stupid winter tires. I hate the change from the 18x10s to the 17x8s. Make baby jesus cry.
