wheel spacers and wheel bearings

Well what is the purpose of these? If you are going to run skinnies you don't need but a 7/16th spacer.

You will run out of threads and have to put new longer studs on the hubs to reach through the spacers. When you try to press the old ones out to put the new ones in you will most likely damage the ABS rings. So figure extra money for repairing that and also studs are EXPENSIVE. They cost about $8 each. What I am trying to say is that those relatively cheap wheel spacers can quickly end up costing much more than you expected and being a huge hassle. It all depends on your skills and tools.

I do not recommend eBay parts but those spacers look like they do not need new studs so they would save you a lot of hassles.

It depends on what rims you plan on running, and how hard you run it. daily driving isn't going to cause issues with just a 1" hub centric spacer. now if you go to the extreme everyday that is something different

I actually had to grind my studs down a bit so my wheel wouldn't hit and I have H&R 30mm. That's 1-3/8".

I'd show pictures but Mustang Mods dumped on me with my paid account.

Just a bit of info that has helped me...

If you rotate the hub to where the stud clears the abs ring sensor(top right hand side on the hub) you will not even damage or tough the abs sensor. I have replaced plenty this way and no damaged abs sensors.

i put 1" on my rear wheels like 2 days ago and it fills the wheel wells perfectly and i have 18 x 9"...got mine off ebay for 65 bucks, they seem excellent quality as well, lightweight aluminum, like 2lbs each.

I've had 25mm (1") H&R hubcentric wheel spacers (that I got from MM) on the rear wheels of my car for over 3 years now. I have had no issues with them, and I am glad I got them.

I consider them an appearance mod, not a performance mod. I got them (soon after gettin my car) to move the rear wheels out to where they should be. I couldn't stand the "tucked-in" look, so these spacers were one of the first mods I did.

They fit perfectly on my stock bullitt-type wheels, no grinding and plenty of stud threads for the lugs.

I recommend you spend the extra to get the 1" spacers from MM instead of the cheap ebay ones. However, if you want to improve your ETs, it looks like you need to work on your launch, and rear wheel spacers might not be a good thing for you.

Now that I think about it... mine are 25mm. I originaly got the 30mm but started freaking out about my tires rubbing. So rather than roll the fenders I went down to a 25mm. Looks great though. Here's some pictures that I posted at Photo Bucket.

where is this gap you speak of.......are you sure,...???? just wondering....tried to change mine a couple weeks ago...could not get the studs out because of the ring..????

Kilgore mentioned possibly damaging the abs sensor on the front wheel hub by pushing the studs out. However the sensor doesnt cover the entire hub You rotate the hub around(as if the wheel was rolling) and you will see that the top and top right area is clear of the abs sensor which should be on the bottom left parts of the hub.

You cant damage the abs sensor if you push each stud out in that position.

I never said anything about gap.
