Wheels for 88 LX2.3

Okay, I am back, I just bought a 88 LX with a 4.3, I wanted it mainly as I cannot afford to keep driving my pickup to work, anyway it needs much TLC. To start I need wheels and rims. What size looks the best and still fits, and does not rob too much power. Right now it has stock rubber 195/75/ 14. I am thinking of going 17 inch 7 or 8 inch wide and 45 series tires, this way I do not change the outer radius. What width will be better 7 or will 8 fit? what siz3e do you all use?

4.3? WTF?
Anyways, Ponies are the best looking and easiest wheels to find IMO.
These are 225/50/16 Fuzion ZRIs.

You can go with 10 holes and P225/60-15's or 16"Pony wheels and P225/50-16

I put Pony's on my 89 2.3 LX notch, love them. I am going to try my 10 holes, turbines and Draglites one day when I get time.

All that said, the stock 14 inchers seem to ride nicely and have been no hassle, while I have had to repair and rebalance 3 of the 4 Pony's this last week. I'm thinking there's a message in that somewhere...

got the wheels and tires, they look great, I will try and get picturessoon. The only thing is the wheels are 9 inches wide, which is slightly too wide for a 235, it looks okay, but a 8.5 inch wheel would have been better. A wider tire such as a 245 would have looked better but that would have increased the diameter and i figured that the poor 4 banger did not need to work any harder.
