Got the car dyno tuned today @ PSI Motorsports in Webster, TX. She made 349.9 HP & 348.9 TQ at the wheels at approx 6 lbs of boost. Not sure what the reason for the low boost numbers are, and that was taking it all the way up to about 5800 - 6000 RPM.

We also started getting detonation @ only 10-12 degrees of timing, which the tuner thought was pretty strange with only 6 lbs of boost and 93 octane gas.

Not bad, I suppose, for an otherwise stock '02 GT @ only 6 lbs of boost. Honestly, it doesn't feel like I thought a 375 HP car would, but maybe I was expecting too much.

I promptly tried to race my friend in his '04 Cobra and got beat.

:(

NICE #S! And ou should have beat the cobra if he was stock....if he has just a tuner, they will pump out about 400RWHP and you wount have a chance. And the detination seems odd...wonder if the inlet temps are too high.

i hope your IAT sensor has been relocated, if vortech has you putting it in the wrong place. What mods do you have?

Exactly what I was thinking. Both my S-trim and SQ-trim made about 7 lbs w/out the power pipe. If you wanted to pickup a little more, order the anderson or mph boost pipe.

IAT sensor was relocated to the discharge pipe. Air inlet temperatures were around 115 - 130 depending on how cool we let it get before we did another run. Granted, the AF ratio was still a little fat @ around 11:1 but he wanted to keep it on the safe side for now. Still, makes no sense why the car was having detonation.

The car is bone stock except for the kit & a magnaflow catback.

Those aren't bad numbers for a street car. I'm sure if you do mid-pipe and/or LTs you'll see more and if you add gears that the car will be even better. :nice:

He did datalog the fuel pressure, but I don't have the print out for it. He said fuel pressure was fine all the way to the top. I expected with 42# injectors and the SVT focus pump it wouldn't be an issue.

That's what's weird. If you're pinging, that's a lack of fuel. What do you have the plugs gapped at, and what type of plugs are you running?

stock 03-04 make 390 at the wheels. thats why i am not setting for less than 400rw.
Meh, its actually about 365-370rwhp for most. And a GT doesnt need that much to keep up due to the difference in weight and a live axle. A GT putting out 350-360rwhp should beat a stock Cobra. Once the Cobra starts modding....i won't even talk about it :(
