This is the harness piece that is inside the steering column area, not the one that connects to the headlight switch..

Also which color is the fog light wire, I deleted my fog lights so what should I do with the wire?

The wires looks good so you might be able to get away with swapping the wires into another housing available from many junkyards. Unlatch the red wires and check the condition of the terminals, if they are still in good condition then you're in luck. You can just leave the foglight terminal in the housing. Since it isn't connected to anything anymore it just won't be doing anything.

The red/black wire goes to the fogs. You'll notice that there are two of them. One of them goes to headlights and the other goes to the fuse that supplies power to the foglights, thus the reason they overheat the connector.

If a major repair is necessary I think I might know of a couple of places that carry that pigtail. I'll have to check.

click on link and give mps a call you can e-mail them a picture and they might be able to help you . did you fix the short that caused the plugin to melt... but as Saleen0679 stated in his thread a salvage yard might be your best bet... was the short in your foglights.

did you get that connector yet?? I can definately get you that pigtail.... might take some digging as its been 2 years since i bought one. You definately need to do the foglight fix to keep it from happening again...

its still available. connector w/ 8" leads, works out to be under $5. dont know if you can get anywhere locally. made by Car-pak. part # is 94-7228. hope this helps
