Hey, what's up?

My car, has white leather seats... and they are a PAIN IN THE ASS to keep clean. I don't do a half bad job in doing so, but regardless, my seats are a decade old, and the driver's side is looking pretty sad. The passenger has probably got another 2 years left in it, but I wouldn't mind getting either of them replaced if the price was right. My back seats still look brand new. No one has ever really sat in them, and I hope they'll stay like that for the rest of my life.

However, if anyone has any leads on where I could get a set of new white leather driver side and passenger side seats, or maybe even have them redone, if it was cheaper...
I'm willing to listen.
Thanks gang.

Doug

it'd be cheaper just to buy some racing seats.. i called around when i wanted it done and they wanted like 500 for one? i was like 'couldn't i just buy a new one for way less than that?'.. and the guy said yes. maybe it was the wrong shop?

When I needed new seats I just bought some Corbeau GTS 2's. They were around 600 shipped from mustangs unlimited ( also I can't remember if that was with or with out the seat track adapters.)

go to http://www.superiorinteriors.com They are a local shop here that did mine in 2-tone and was very reasonable. I think it was $900 for front and back seats. They did a great job.

I think 5.0 Resto sells the leather seat covers front and back for around $650

$900 isn't bad for front and back in two-tone.

I was given a quote of about $1300 for two-tone leather front and back. They wanted to charge me the same price for leather as they did for my new cloth top.

Needless to say, I still have the cloth seats.

Thanks 91LX_5L
It's honestly why i bought the car. I wanted a triple black 94-95 gt vert, but when I saw the guy's add for a white leather, mixed white/black interior I had to see it for myself, and fell in love.
I'll try to post better pics next time i'm out there with the camera.

Racing seats, yeah, i can understand what you mean. Personally, it's not the look i'm going for. I want more of a luxury style approach, while obviously still having bite when i gas it. The Corbeau GTS 2's are a nice seat though. I scoped them out while doing my obvious leather seat search, they were selling them over at www.crossroadzdirect.com
awesome site by the way, i would suggest to at least check it out if you're looking at mustang aftermarket gear.
But like i said, I just want to keep that whole, girl will melt more sitting in my car than a bmw. rather than comparing it to... a supra? (always comin back to that damn car)

as for superiorinteriors.com, i scoped out their site, and they might be of use to me... your car looks mint, well done with the project... I'll see what they tell me...

and for 5.0 resto, that pic of a leather seat in their section looks absolutely mint! but... you said covers... like leather seat, or a leather seat "cover"?
i just want new seats to be honest, no actual seat covers...
whenever i think of seat covers, i think of some weird animal print... and porno music starts crackling on in the background

Well technically the stock seats have cloth or leather "covers" and 5.0 resto kits are the same as stock I believe. They're not like cheap Autozone leather seat covers.

I would not repair stock GT seats. I always knew they sucked, but I had no idea how much until I got my Cobra. Get something better before blowing a grand on recovering your seats -- there are many choices that are not racing seats, that are a million times better than stock GT seats.

My aunt had just picked up an 02 cobra
and i of course went nuts comparing our cars, without her knowing of course.
and i'll be honest, the leather seating in my car, is about 4,502 times nicer than what she has in hers.
I don't know what they did, the air holes, and whatnot...
but her seats SUCK.
no offense to her, she's got a sweet car... but i was really disappointed in that aspect more than anything. My seats aren't all that bad in truth... they aren't the best by any means, but I don't mind the look of their seats. Granted, I can't say they would be the best quality, but if the 5.0 resto replaces the covers on the stock seat with a more quality cover... you'd think it would last a few hundred years or so..

but white leather, everything rubs off!! jeans, fuzzy sweaters... all those clothes articles have been banned from my car...
"You're wearing jeans!!??! TAKE A WALK!!" (the gf didn't like that too much)
