I am going to install a NOS gauge this weekend in my 05 gt. It is an Autometer C2 series and has an internal blue LED. Specifically I would like the gauge light to turn on when the dashboard lights come on and to dim when I dim the dashboard lights but I do not know where to find the dashboard dimmer light wire. Any ideas?

Also anyone hook up this configuration before ( a gauge with an LED light)? I know there are adapters to make them dim better if you have stock incandescent bulbs but I figured if I use a dimmer from the instrument panel LEDs this should already be accounted for. Anyone experienced with this?

gauge

sorry to tell you but i went through this already, the dimmer runs on a negative lead so the dimmer will not work with the gauges. i ended up putting the power to one of the pink wires that run off the ignition. this powers the gauge when the key is on but will not dim.

So your gauge light comes on when you start the car? You didn´t just hook it up to a wire that is hot when you turn on the lights?

It is called NO2.... NOS is a brand name or a term used by some loser actor named Vin Diesel.

Give me a break. By the way NO2 is Nitrogen Dioxide I think you meant to say N20 which is Nitrous Oxide. :Zip2:
