If you jack the rear of the car up, get under the car in the middle of the tank towards the front of the car and look up. That will be the fuel filter.
it's not a diesel so there is no need to purge the system of air. turn the key on, do you hear a humming sound for a few seconds. if not, go to your trunk and look behind the paneling next to the drivers side taillight. there will be a black box with a white button. push the button in if it can be and try to start. when you turn the key on, do the gauges move, fuel level gauge and such. you may have a blown fuse for the ecu. i had to fix a new chevy truck like that and it was just a fuse.
