I know that is seems like a dumb question, but as i've posted in other threads, I'm fighting my C4 and shifter assembly. This car was originally a 4-speed, still has the clutch pedal installed. When whoever switched over to the C4, they cut a pretty big hole to install the automatic shifter. I'm thinking part of my problem could be the shifter was not put in just the right place. I need a measurement to see if things are in the right place. I'm realatively certain from help on this site that the C4 has the wrong "Mustang floor shift select lever" installed. I've also been told that I can just add length to the lever to fix the problem, but no one has provided me with a center to center measurement to make sure I get the right one or add the right amount. It's just that when I get ready to fix this, I want to make sure I have the right length C4 shift select lever and have the shifter assembly located properly. Thanks.
