Ok so getting ready to put some things together. I have a 85 hatch back t-top car. The engine bay is pretty decent so kinda don’t want to put the battery in there. Also prefer it not to be in the car. Kicked around the spare tire well but I want a spare. So looking for ideas of where else I could put a battery.

Mine will go back in the original spot. New batt tray, and maybe a fancy Batt.

I don’t want it inside the car.

This was my favorite battery mount.

It all comes down to a little imagination, and a different approach.

I had an Odyssey 1200 series in my car, lasted 11 years before it got weak, still use it in the garage for bench testing things, awesome battery!

You could put it inside drivers side fender, I've seen it done before.

I like the odyssey set up. Looks like I may have options with that type of mount

Saw a fender mount kit somewhere, I seem to remember it being pretty pricey and you still needed
to purchase a dry cell battery. Think this may have been it not sure if they are still making them.

I like it but just finished painting the engine bay and not too interested in cutting into it. Thinking I can maybe make something in the back like the spare tire well. Just need to get a tank so I can see what I have to work with.

What about a small drycell batt. In spare well that spare will fit over. It's late just a thought.

Thought about that but really want a spare no a jack. Plan on driving pretty regular.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

This dude is on the right track. Batteries have come a long way. You can get an Odyssey that tucks up in the fender, totally hidden now.
