One of the very few redeeming qualities about face place is the memories. My fondest popped up today, me doing my first engine swap in my first car, circa 2004.

Soooo much hindsight.

Hahaha...you did ford blue on your first mustang motor swap, too. Mine was a 460 in a 87 4 cylinder car. That whole JY engine was ford blue. That car was a " for real " death trap. The car would push through corners and felt like the engine hit the ground on the slightest dip....brakes were non existant. It wasn't even that fast. Smh

Now that I look back at it....my " friends " , that gave me swap parts and helped build the thing, were trying to kill me. Lol

I'd never do a zero budget big block swap ever again.

Didn’t even have my license yet. ‘66 inline 6 in the garage, Dad underneath. I was just starting to learn here, but it’s where it started.
Probably a little more than 30 years ago.

Last first gen was a 65 with a 70 something 302 that I swapped a 4 spd toploader into. Bought it with a 3 spd. Front end had minor crash damage that I rebuilt too. Sold that and bought my first Fox, an ‘86 GT

When I was a kid, probably 6-7 years old, there was a guy a down the street that had a red coupe like that with those same wheels. I loved that car. What kind of wheels are those anyway?

The sickness began in 2002 or so after going for a ride in this car . At the time it was one of the fastest street cars . 302 , TW 170s , s trim , tko 500 , Motorsport rear , flow fit seats . It’s what started me wanting a blower car

Then I got my first 90gt that I traded a Buick park avenue for and the rest is history

Throw in a pic the first time I pulled the motor from the coupe when it was my only car . 2013

Those were made by Cragar. Similar to the popular Center Lines back then but were a little cheaper.

This was a couple years after I got it. 88GT this pic is probably from 2000. This is after I did the bodywork and paint on it. I threw on the ponys after that. Cant remember what I did with the turbines. I do have an earlier pic when I first got it but couldn’t find it last night. It’s somewhere.
