I am writing for suggestions on where to drill in order to route a positive wire so I can power the lights for my 3 gauges mounted on the outside of the car on the cowl grill.
My goal is to use the interior's dimmer switch so the lights on the gauges match those inside the car. But where is the best place to drill in-and-around the cowl grill area?
Do I drill from the grill area through to the interior and hope I don't hit anything? Or do I go out side the cowl area into the engine bay and back into the interior of the car through the steering column boot?
Do I drill from inside the car into the cowl grill area, and if so, where is the best place for this?
So far I've hooked up the mechanical vacuum gauge and fuel pressure gauges and am happy to report about 18lbs of vac and 38lbs of fuel pressure. But that's in the daylight, so I need your suggestions to know if is the same after dark
Thanks in advance.
