Where the heck is the IAT sensor on my 02' GT!!!!

Where is the IAT sensor located on my 2002 GT? I cant find it for ***** I dont know where exactly to find it but i have an idea and if you have a photo it would be good also.

Why do you want to f'k with the IAT sensor? Anyway it is in the intake tube just upstream from the throttle body.

Okay so the intake have two tubes from it. is it the small one or the big fat one? and i just got my custom chip from my buddy's tuning shop. Iight so the air filer housing then comes the meter and then the??? and how far is it from the air fileter housing??

Mine is stuck right in the top of the intake tube a few inches after the MAF, I just went out and looked at mine. It is not near the throttle body as I previously stated... Right next to MAF. What are you going to do to it? Just curious...

On one of the late model years I thought it was incorporated into the MAF sensor, but I don't remember which year.

I hope you're not thinking of trying to hard-wire a resistor in series; that wouldn't be a good idea.

Mine is where I described it above, yours is incorporated into the MAF.

I had this chip for my other mustang. I had a 2004 GT and like 3 weeks ago i crashed it on the Long Island Expressway. IN NYC and im pretty sure you know how traffic is out here A turbo Eclipse came up to me and i was playing with him and then i punched it out and took a corner at about 80 i slowed down to about 65 then i hit the back of a big truck. Ihad him bylike 6 cars! i had the flowmaster american thunder kit with a bbk x pipe with some bbk shorty's and a steeda timing adjuster that's it i was looking into buyin this turbo kit for this 02 but now i'm thinking nitrous to give it more of a sleeper look feel me?

Please tell me you didn't buy one of those "performance chips" from eBay. A chip should install over the factory ECU, not at the IAT; anyone who tells you to connect it to the IAT is selling a resistor.

Sorry, didn't mean to be such a d***; it's just that I was once that dumba** that soldered a resistor to the IAT of my...........Escort ZX2. Messed it up; it tricked my computer into thinking it was 40 degrees outside, so it advanced timing/leaned fuel. Great for power, even on my wimpy car, but it sure didn't last long. I get a little carried away now whenever I even remotely suspect someone my be harming an excellent car in the same way. Sorry again.
