where to buy a Dart Block

I want to go with a 351 possibly stroked bigger. Is the Dart Block the best? Is the pre 74 Windsor motor better? Where is the BEST place to get a Dart Block? What is the cost?

I would imagine the dart to be better than the old 351w blocks.

Never seen direct comparisons though, that may be interesting.

Can anyone provide the comparo?

Dart blocks will outperform any stock block from any year. They have all 4 bolt mains. The 351 dart is a good choice for a stroker.


www.dssracing.com sells the dart blocks. Look under short blocks.

The DART blocks are far superior to an older 351 Windsor block. The older 69-74 blocks tend to bow out around 900hp, although some have had luck with them over that amount. With a DART I would not worry with 1500hp+

well, i'm in a similar situation as you... I've looked at the dart blocks and can't really find one for less than 2k (before shipping i assume). Is the 74 wendsor a 4 bolt?
