ok, the previous owner of my gt did some mods to it, some of which i'm trying to clean up and improve them.

he installed a mac cold air intake. the problem with it is that there is nothing mounting it to the fender, its just laying there sticking into the hole.

from what i've seen, you are supposed to use rubber bushings from the stock air box to mount this cai. the bushings/mounting hardware is gone and i'm looking for a good place to purchase it. If i try a dealership what exactly would i ask for there?

thanks

Sign up at modular depot and hit this forum ( http://forums.modulardepot.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=21 ), run by Randy Stinchcomb, parts guru at Liberty Ford in MD; he gives us Stang knuckleheads a great deal. He'll know exactly what your talking about. He's also a member here on Stangnet, but I believe his PM box is disabled....

You should contact MAC for the fittings. Worst case you can probably make some from sheetmetal and secure it to the tube. I've heard mixed reviews about the MAC CAI but if it works OK for you go for it. I would recommend a K&N FIPK with the heat shield since that is what I have, was easy to install and works great.

i have the MAC CAI too.Trust me dude , your gonna have a hard time getting the rubber part in the fender hole.It took me a while to do it.Actually i couldnt even do it myself, i had to get underneath the car pulling the rubber part and had a friend push it down from the top
listen to the guy , and go with the K&N its much better IMO
but if you insist, then good luck with the instal
