Where to drill the Mr. Gasket thermostat??

I heard it's good to drill the thermostat to relieve pressure or something like that, where do you drill and how big?? or should i just install it the way it came?? it's a Mr. gasket 180 by the way if it makes a difference.

Mike's right-on. The Mr G's come with a jiggle valve already.

err, i drilled mine... it had three indentations for what seemed to be drill spots. no problems so far.

Paul, it won't hurt to drill it. It arguably makes it take longer for the car to warm up (nothing you'd probably even notice). The extra holes are nice on craptastic t-stats but simply are not necessary on the perf. units.

i just installed mine witihout drilling it, it works great......i wouldn't bother
