where to get deep trans. pan for AODE?

im looking for the deep pan where can i get one at and also by doing a trans. filter change and flush will that affect my car if its got a shift kit in it?

go to the junkyard and pull one off of a 4x4 with a 4r70w. its a direct replacement. if your lucky, you might find one with a drain plug. just make sure that you get the matching filter for that pan because of the deeper sump, it needs an extension.

The stock 4R70W pan has a kickout. Fits on the AODE directly.

Wes's method was mine too. A new 4R pan was 20 beans, an embossed gasket (the only way to fly. I'd do this no matter what other parts you use) was 10 and the filter was 10 or 20. All Ford parts.

I've seen the AOD guys do Dan's method (using the appropriate 4x4 filter too) and report good results. I just haven't done it that way.

If you have a hankerin to install an inline filter (using an FL1A type filter, or just a small self-contained inline filter), now would be a time to do it.

huh i know nothing about the inline filters and really didn't know i could do it with the trans... i might have to look into that as i had not even thought about needing a longer filter i would have just bought a reg. one glad i posted this thanks guys
