I've been searching for a place to buy distributor bushings and so far I'm not having any luck. Any of you guys know a good place to buy them?

I know some of you will say I'd be better off buying an aftermarket distributor but I want to stick with the stock look and Pertronix.

The stock distributor is actually pretty good, especially if you have it professionally recurved. They are 40+ years old, and likely to need it.

You can get the bushing from Glazier/Nolan, G08559, (the 351C bushing is G08083), and if you send them the distributor for recurving, they can even install it for you.

I know the early Mustang distributors had one bushing but doesn't the later ones have two. I haven't ever had one apart but that's what I was thinking. My distributor is for a 70 351.

Thanks for the Glazier/Nolan number. :nice:

Other way around. The distributor originally had a small lower bushing, later on Ford realized it was only about an inch from the pilot hole in the block, and eliminated it. Since it's in between the main upper bushing, and the pilot, the center wasn't necessary. I'm not sure it was ever serviced, and I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over not having one.
