I'm looking for a 6000k or 8000k HID kit. Does anyone know where I can order it from and pricing? I saw mustangtuning sells one for $349. Also, can I use my current projectors to have more visibility or do I need different (as in H1 or H3) projectors?

i got mine from HIDplace.com I have the 6000k Hit and my is awsome. 6000k Gives awsome visablity. if i were you i would get 6000k but i have seen a few white saleens with 8000k and even 10,000k and they look bitchin cause the cars are white. I think 8000k looks sick on white.

here is my 6000k

Is that illegal? I hope the police won't take so much notice...

So you're saying that with the change to HID's, there is a difference in the beam versus the conventional bulbs?

I would think that it would be brighter, but with the same dispersion pattern since you didn't actually change the reflector behind the bulb.

Just wondering.

Halogen bulds are not that bright so the reflector housings for them are designed to throw light everywhere. HIDs are super bright and use a projector to focus the light.

I hate projectors on stangs (it looks mega rice) so i use my stock housings and HIDs which is throwing SUPER BRIGHT LIGHT everywhere.

Yes it is illegal

why do I do it?...Because i think throwing light everywhere in HID form looks awsome....and blinding on-comming traffic is super fun!!

Gtech has a kit that I can back, you can get it for 200 dollars off of ebay. It comes with great quality, and a very simple install.

My brother has 8000k on his celica and it, in my opinion, is way too blueish.

I have the 6000k and it is VERY white on the ground, but in the housing it has a sort of blue haze look. I love it. I too blast people with my HID's. heh
