Which 16" or 17" rims will fit my '88 based FFR Cobra?

I'm putting together a Mark II Factory Five Cobra kit, using a 1988 5.0 GT as the donor. Suspension and body width are based on the Stock 88 width and offsets. I have the 15" GT-40 style rims for the street, but performance tires are limited.

I am looking to find a set of either 16 or 17" rims for when I open track the car, so I am looking more for what is compatible, affordable, and easilly found (swap meets, parts boards, etc) that are 5-Lug wheels, and will fit on a Fox Mustang (1987-1993). For these rims, much better rubber is available. I am not sure if later vintage wheels will fit correctly (94-95, then 96 to 04), and am admittedly not as knowlegeable either.

Can you guys set me straight?
Many Thanks!

I have to assume that you used the 88 brakes and the 5 lug rotors, not the 94+ SN95 front brakes. If so, then your Mustang 17" wheel selection is limited to 95 Cobra Rs, 94-95 GT Tri Spokes, and the 94-97 Cobra wheels with no mods. Some of the later ones will work without the center caps. All the 16" Mustang wheels will work fine. The "waffle" wheels are a good cheap wheel that are pretty light weight. Here is a pic:

Look at Matt90GT's website for more info on wheel fitment.
