Hey guys I have 2 700 watt rms audiobahn subs, which amp do you think would be better to power both, in sound quality and spl? An mtx81000d or a jl500/1? Also, do you think buying a jl300/4 amp for my mids and highs would be worth it?
700rms each sub? for more sq yah get the mtx 81000 or a jbl1200 i wouldnt really know much about the jl amps but the subs they make are really good. if you want more spl then you need a even more powerful amp like a brutus 1500 or 1800. the subs should take the extra power just fine with no problems and be alot louder and shouldnt lose much sq.
now if your a sql freak like me then yah your gonna want to amp your mids. but id do this first. hook the mids up to the deck see how it is...if you dont like it then amp them. try to get a amp thats 200rms or more atleast. if any problems occur just email me.
