Which c/c plates?

I am gonna hit my suspension as my next project and wanted some input. I searched the forums, but couldn't find the right answer. I am going with the following suspension setup:

H&R Super Sport Springs
Bilstein shocks and struts
some kind of offset bushings

I want to know which c/c plate I should go with. I am not going to be road or drag racing the Stang, but I dont wanna chimp out on parts. Whats the difference between 3 and 4 bolt? I saw that UPR had some c/c plates for like $150 and then MM had a set for $160. Eventually, I am gonna switch to a AJR tublar k-member, but was still going to run the H&R springs with the modified perches. Any thoughts?

A 3-bolt plate would be fine if you are never going to do coilovers. However, I would recommend the Maximum Motorsports 4-bolt plates no matter what your long term plans are. The suspension is one place I refuse to skimp on, because a part failure can mean the end of your car and maybe you along with it.

You can get UPR 4 bolts for like $136. Thats what i ordered. All this talk about 4 bolts all the time figured what the hell i'll get them even if i don't really need the extra bolt.

BUT if you looking into the UPR 4 bolt call and ask if they have them first.

Mine were ordered they gave a tracking # then I ordered another part and the trackign number was cancled and i got a new one. I figured they put both in the same box. Got the 1 part but not the plates called they said they were out of stock. Been about 2 months now found out wed the had a set sent back to them that were shipped out wrong so i'm getting them. Should have them on Tuesday. Would have been nice if they would have just told me in the begining they were out

MMs noisy??? Not mine at all. When did you guys get your MM C/C plates? I got mine last August, so maybe they are an updated design.

I'd recommend MMs aluminum center-drilled rack bushings. Check out MMs website and read why they swear by center-drilled bushings for most circumstances. Heck, the parts you already mentioned above are sold by MM. Go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

MM makes some great CC plates and was going to get them when I was in the market but the Hotchkis ones won me over.

Hotchkis has a great 3 bolt cc.

Any cc plate that uses a solid spherical bearing will be noisy. One that is less noisy means that it uses bearings that have looser tolerances.

Noisy = solid = quality. If noise is a major concern, stick to a plate that uses a rubber isolator. If you want the performance, you are going to have to pay the price.

And trust me, you guys don't know noisy until you have nothing but solid links in the suspension. Ask me how I know.

I have the D&D 4 bolts with solid bushings. Its really not THAT bad but you can tell the difference. They are great quality and fit was perfect. I don't see the difference between these and MM's except for the fact that you pay for the name with the MM's.
