I am buying my wife a daily driver to get her out of my truck. I found a 97 Cobra with 109,000 and I found 97 GT with 79K... Which one do I buy. I heard you can get lots of miles out of a mod cars. I want the cobra just because I know it will be a blast and I can buy a new engine down the road... Well chime in and let me know what you think...

Both are poor choices for a daily driver IMO.. Gas guzzlers and poor cars to commute around in especially in ill weather.. I'd just buy a decent honda or toyota beater that gets good gas milage if you want a daily driver.

Would your wife even appreciate driving around a Mustang? If not, whats the point? With gas prices going to hit over 3 bucks a gallon here in Cali, I'm really looking into buying a beater car to commute to work with.

If you wife is a Mustang fan, and would appreciate cruising around in one.. Get the Cobra. Although that motor is pretty tired. 7 yr old car with over 100k miles.. Factor in the cost of maint and upkeep on a vehicle with that high milage.

Thanks for the input. We are going to look at a 03 Cobra this weekend. The other car was on it's way out to me and she really wants a 03 and I can get my truck back. We are a mustang family and we have tried the honda thing and the wife was just not happy after driving mustangs... I have to keep the peace.
