Which clutch to buy?

im getting a new clutch,plate, aluminum flywheel and need to know which specs to get.

how many tooth?
what size clutch? (10, 10.5)


orginal 65 289 engine, 4 spd toploader.

The 10.5 "C7ZZ" replacement is my preference. Available new, it's a direct copy of the 289HP/BOSS 302 clutch.

i want a littler better then factory. currently has advanced auto stuff and the abuse killed it.

You REALLY don't want an aluminum flywheel with what you've got now. BAD idea for a street driven car.

i was lookin at the mid grade centerforce to be honest.

i just need to know what tooth count and what size disc.

157 teeth, 10.5" disk.

What gearbox do you have? What rear gears? If it's anything lower than 3.50, the aluminum flywheel will likely make takeoffs a bit of a chore. I drove my '68 briefly with the stock 3.00s and it needed a bit of slip to take off smoothly.

Centerforce II is a good choice. STEEL flywheel. I used a Centerforce flywheel with a late model (10.4") clutch bolt pattern.
