are you talking about right out of the box or with some work done such as porting and polishing? Right out of the box AFR 165's are untouchable...TrickFlow heads can be ported and have a bigger potential...but than again there is the AFR 185's...Dollar per dollar the AFR's are just a better buy for the performance you get...Intakes really make no difference expept that the new edelbrock RPM II is CNC so the quality is a bit better...

AFR 165's and an Performer intake...may want to think about a custom cam as well...FTI has a killer set up for that combo...www.flowtechinduction.com you can get all your parts there and its a proven combo...

Yes...with a better cam than the one provided I don't see why it wouldn't...however, PEAK HP means nothing...it's the average HP that determines the area under the curve and AFR's seem to win on that aspect...AFR 165's are a smaller head than the TW head...so it is more torquy down low and still pulls hard up top...
