So, Ive decided to buy a set of aluminum heads, but now stuck on which ones. At this point my shortblock only has 1000 miles on it with speed pro hyper piston flat tops. I wanted to go to forged dome pistons, this is where it becomes a problem.
At First I was thinking the Twisted Wedge Street/Strip heads- But I can't find any domed pistons that are made for them for press fit connecting rods and I really don't want to buy another set or rods.
Then I was thinking Edelbrock RPM- But from the stuff I've read I'm kind of iffy good they are and how much they flow. But I can get a set of forged dome pistons for press fit rods for these heads, that will make about 10.5-1 compression.
Also thought about the Victor Jr.- From what I've read they seem to be pretty good heads, but some people think they are too much head for a 302, or 306 whatever, but even with the higher compression and a good cam and intake wouldn't that help.
Or, should I just stick with the speed pro hyper pistons, I will get about 9.2 compression with 60cc chamber heads.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
