Which is a better daily? PI 2v or c5 vette?

In a couple years I am going to purchase a 97-04 c5 corvette. I always wanted one!!!! Which is a better daily driver? My guess is the vette?

Get the vette or you could save up for a ZR1. jk I was at a car show yesterday in Temecula and the local dealer had one there an said is was $120k. The carbon-ceramic brakes costs $30k alone.

If you can't already afford the Vette then you would be better off w/the Stang. Mods are cheap, and generally won't break the bank. The Vette mods are seriously out of my budget.
Plus IMHO, when both engine blocks are pushed to there threshold, both engine blocks would put out the same numbers.
If I can't afford to replace a car, stock of course, then I wouldn't even think about purchasing the car.
Both are excellent vehicles, I've seen a lot of Vettes around here, in fact I've seen more Vettes then Camaros. Go figure.

I'm not doubting that, but to upgrade and upkeep a mustang is so much cheaper.
stock Clutch kit mustang gt 99-127 dollars
C5 corvette- 469 dollars
Gas Gallons Mustang Gt-15.7 (87 octane recommended)
C5 corvette-18.5 (92 octane recommended)
I'm mean list stays the same w/everything. JMO, get the mustang. Not a good daily driver compared to Gt.

Our cars have crap rear suspension unless you are a drag racer. The Vette is a better option.

Well I'm not going to hang on everyone else's nuts on this one. I would personally stay with the 2v. I would NEVER think of owning any Government Motors cars! If you want more power, go with the s197 3v platform or go 4v with any cobra newer then 99.

does "daily driving" include going to the grocery store or the mall?...not much room for stuff inside a 'vette...also (generally) they are more expensive to insure and maintain than a Mustang

if you were asking about a open track car, there wouldn't be much of a discussion...but I think for a daily driver a Mustang would be a much more logical choice...

I agree with mransr. For performance / racing, get the Corvette, but if you intend to actually daily drive the thing, get the Mustang. It's far cheaper to operate / maintain / insure, has way more interior space for making grocery store runs / carrying more than 1 passenger in a pinch, and will actually do well in snow with winter tires.
